7 Reasons To Visit Milan in Italy

Another place that I can finally mark as checked on my travel list is Milan in Italy. As a person who lives and breathes fashion, I’ve always wanted to visit this city and experience its scene. After spending some time in Milan, learning more about it, and falling in love with it, I have prepared a list of reasons to visit this beautiful place.

I. Pizza

Starting off with food (because it is a priority) – I am pretty sure my boyfriend and I were Italians in our previous lives since we both believe that a day without pizza or pasta is wasted. Undoubtedly, there is no better place to have pizza than Italy. No matter which one you choose, it is always a delicious choice.

II. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the world’s oldest shopping malls a.k.a. heaven on earth. Entering the Galleria, its majestic arch welcomes people and introduces its very elegant space right away. Inside, it feels like turning the clock back in time – the monumental construction made out of iron and glass followed by artistically detailed design are absolutely spectacular. The Galleria houses luxury shops, exquisite restaurants and hotels, which all make this place even more exclusive.

III. Luxury Stores

Window shopping in Milan is definitely one of my favourite activity. Surely, it is not possible to passively walk by the displays of designer stores since they are true pieces of art. Their lavish visuals behind the windows grab people’s attention and tell stories of new collections while using brands’ aesthetics. To be honest, I could not stop watching them!

IV. Flamingos In The Heart Of The City

Behind the majestic Villa Invernizzi’s fence, there is a garden with a colony of pink flamingos. It is a hidden (and super cute!) gem in the heart of Milan.

V. Architecture & Streets

Besides fashion and luxury stores, Milan is a real treasury of beautiful architecture and streets. A mix of historical and modern buildings, between which lots of cute motorcycles are driving around, makes this city even more charming.

VI. Duomo di Milano

The Gothic cathedral is the largest church in Italy and the third largest in the world. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most gorgeous buildings in Milan thanks to its great attention to detail and tremendous construction. The roof is open to tourists and offers amazing views not only on the city, but also on some spectacular sculptures that are not seen from the ground.

VII. Gelato

Finally, Milan, and Italy in general, would never be the same without its famous gelato, which is just perfect for a hot summer in the city!
