Which Foreo Device Is Right For You?

I like to call myself a Foreo connoisseur as I am truly a big fan of innovative skincare. I believe that everyone’s skin has different needs; therefore, it is essential for an effective skincare routine to be catered to these unique needs for healthy and glowing skin. I am the lucky owner of some of the Foreo’s bestselling products and I am going to review them for you in this blog post, so read on!

     

Foreo LUNA play plus

LUNA play plus was my first Foreo product and the beginning of my love affair with Foreo at the same time. I always heard amazing things about this brand, so when I have received this brush as a part of a PR gift, I remember I was super excited to try it out on my own.

LUNA play plus is a basic facial brush that everyone will enjoy! Its T-Sonic™ pulsations are diffused through soft silicone touchpoints to gently unclog your pores to remove up to 99.5 per cent of dirt and oil, plus dead skin cells and makeup residue. When you want facial cleansing and massaging that complements both your skin and your busy lifestyle, look no further than the cute and compact LUNA play plus! It fits in your purse, backpack or gym bag and uses AAA batteries for a 1-minute cleansing routine you can indulge in any time!

I have quickly become obsessed with this product and used it twice every day! After a while, I came to the conclusion that using a battery powered device every day is not a good thing for our environment. Another issue connected to this one was for me the fact that the device was not fully waterproof – you have to open it to change the batteries.

However, I do still think that Foreo LUNA play plus is great for those who has never use a facial brush and are not sure if they will enjoy it (this one is fairly affordable, there is no point in spending a lot of money on something you are not sure about). It is also an amazing option for people who are not going to use it every day (the damage from rust will be minimal or if you take extra care of it, it will have no damage at all) or those who travel often and need a compact device that doesn’t take up a lot of room or require any extra charges.

     

Foreo LUNA 2

I bought Foreo LUNA 2 as a more eco-friendly and customizable alternative to my Foreo LUNA play plus. Every since I got it, it became a staple in my skincare routine!

I was thinking of getting Foreo LUNA 3, but I know that controlling everything through the app on my phone is not something I would enjoy. I like to have full control of my device and change settings as I please, instead of having have to grab my phone every time I want to change the intensity.

Fully waterproof with 12 customizable intensities, LUNA 2 removes blemish-causing impurities for clearer skin. I used to struggle a lot with blackheads and I love that this brush continuously saves my pores from getting clogged! Using it has definitely helped me get rid of blackheads and reduce my acne.

Its reverse side uses lower-frequency pulsations to massage the face, reducing fine lines around the eyes and mouth, and leaving the skin looking firm and lifted. The anti-wrinkle mode of the LUNA 2  also improves the absorption of your favourite skincare products and makes the whole process very relaxing!

It comes with a charger and you can enjoy 450 uses per full charge. It means you only have to charge it about twice a year, which is super convenient!

It also comes in four different models, with cleansing tailored to specific skin types: normal, sensitive, combination and oily. Since my skin is super sensitive and reactive, I use the one for sensitive skin. Its silicone touchpoints are much softer in comparison to the ones that LUNA play plus has.

Foreo UFO

Foreo LUNA mini 3

If you are looking for something in between LUNA play plus and LUNA 2, Foreo LUNA mini 3 will be perfect for you! LUNA mini 3 offers LUNA 2’s 12 customizable intensities and waterproof feature (minus, the anti-aging system) in a compact size similar to LUNA play plus (although LUNA mini 3 is a little bit bigger than LUNA play plus).

On the front side, its silicone touchpoints are long and extra soft – I would say they are even softer than LUNA 2’s touchpoints which are designed for sensitive skin. However, on the back side, they are bigger and harder – similar to touchpoints on LUNA play plus’ tip.

Foreo LUNA mini 3 provides a quick-press Glow Boost cleansing mode that gives you clean, glowing skin in only 30 second. For me personaly, 30 seconds is a little bit too short, so I use the front side of the brush for 30 seconds all over my face and then turn it on again and switch to the back side for another 30 seconds focusing on the areas where I have larger pores to deeply clean them.

This brush also has one more cool feature, which neither LUNA play plus or LUNA 2 has. If you ever happen to misplace your LUNA mini 3, the FOREO app has you covered. You just need to simply click on the app’s Find My LUNA function and your LUNA will let you know where it’s hiding by vibrating like crazy. If only it worked for your lost car keys!

LUNA mini 3 is one of my favourite facial brushes and I use it interchangeably with LUNA 2 in my everyday skincare routine.

     

Foreo ESPADA

Foreo ESPADA was my secret weapon in the fight against acne when I used to struggle with it! It helped my pimples heal faster and reduced the pain of some stubborn acne.

Now that I don’t really have acne, I like to use it once every two weeks or even once a month on my acne-prone skin just to prevent any surprises on my skin from happening.

Foreo LUNA fofo

Foreo LUNA fofo is not only a very compact facial brush, but also an innovative device that measures skin moisture index. It uses 24k gold plated skin sensors to analyze skin diagnostics and reveal your skin’s true age and type. The FOREO app creates and syncs a customized skin profile and cleansing routine.

LUNA fofo is very similar visually to LUNA play plus – they have the same small size (very travel-friendly), pretty much the same silicone touchpoints and both use AAA batteries.

I love to use it from time to time as my smart little beauty coach to check in with my skin and see if I should apply any changes into my cleansing routine.
