Following up my new blog post series in which I choose the best products in different beauty categories, this time I put to the test a bunch of high-end and drugstore mascaras to see which ones actually make eyelashes look longer while giving them gorgeous volume and a look of fake lashes. After weeks of testing and trying many, many different mascaras, I have selected six mascaras that in my opinion are the finest products on the market. They are all unique on their own, but they all give the effect of perfect eyelashes.
Maybelline Total Temptation Washable Mascara
Loved by everyone, Maybelline Total Temptation Washable Mascara builds defined eyelash volume and creates irresistibly soft, separated, full lashes coat after coat. The product features a creamy and whipped formula enriched with coconut extract to nourish lashes. It is one of the best drugstore mascaras I have ever used as it does everything you expect from a fine product at an affordable price point. Personally, I prefer washable to waterproof mascaras, so I like how this one is not stubborn on my lashes and can be very easily removed when I wash my face.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

XFiber from L’Oréal is a two-step mascara system with maximum fiber concentration for extreme volume and length. First, I prime lashes with black primer to build instant volume and depth on each lash. Next, I apply fiber-infused mascara with 20x more lengthening fibers for extreme length. This mascara is a great product that adds a little bit of fanciness into your makeup routine for a reasonable price.
Limited-Edition Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara

Some of the key ingredients of this mascara are castor oil (which I swear by) to condition lashes and promotes fullness, polypeptides to nourish and fortify as well as panthenol to moisture. The formula is very pigmented for maximum effect, so I always start with volumizing brush at lash root and continue to tips of top lashes, fanning outer lashes out toward temple to create length and volume. Then I use precision brush to coat hard-to-reach lashes of the inner and outer corner eye as well as bottom lashes for detail and curl.
