Beauty | October Favourites

Last month, I took a closer look at some of the most famous skincare products to be found in the beauty hall, studying why they’ve made such an impressive impact on the industry, and testing whether they’re worth the hype. Here are all of my favourites from October! 🍂

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

I have heard so many amazing things about Bioderma Sensibio H2O, which is probably the most famous micellar water of all, so I decided I have to try it myself. After just a couple of uses, I realized that it is a cult-favourite product for a reason. The micelles contained in its formula ensure the impurities are removed while respecting the cutaneous balance. It is an ideal product for someone like me who has sensitive skin and even more sensitive eyes. I always judge makeup removers based on how good they can remove my eye makeup without irritating my eyes. Bioderma Sensibio H2O is very gentle and doesn’t slime into my eyes, so I think it is fair to say that it is the best makeup remover I have found yet.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask

I love fresh and I feel like all of their products are absolutely wonderful since they are natural and plant-based. The last month, I was testing this Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask, which is a 5-minute facial we all need heading into the winter season. It is designed to combat signs of tired and overstressed skin, which is something I always struggle with, so I was really happy to see radiant results on my skin after just one use. Powered by a blend of kombu seaweed, red algae, and lotus seeds that works to gently buff and refine. I am sure that this ‘skin SOS’ treatment will be my favourite in upcoming months as it helps to reveal incredibly radiant skin, smooth texture and reset the complexion, which we all know is very hard to achieve with the cold temperatures outside that our skin is exposed to.

Aesop In Two Minds Facial Toner

I have mentioned it so many times and I am going to write it one more time – I love a good toner and can’t imagine my skincare routine without it. I know a lot of people (including me) had a bad experience with toners since they were burning skin and giving a stinging sensation – the worst. But believe me, there are some great toners on the market and one of them is Aesop In Two Minds Facial Toner packed with skin-loving ingredients like Witch Hazel, Niacinamide and Chamomile Bud. Aesop ‘In Two Minds’ collection is designed for combination skin as it focuses on balancing out oil production and keeping inflammation away. This refreshing and balancing toner from the line gently addresses an oily T-zone, without drying the skin. I have noticed that my skin is less oily after using this product, not to mention that it feels so soothing!

Jade Roller

I have seen jade rollers all over social media for the past few months, so I decided it is the time to finally try it – let me tell you that this was one of the best decisions I have made in my beauty blogger/skincare obsessive career. I have read online that in the crystal world, jade crystal stone is known for its healing powers. Some believe that it also helps with fatigue, anxiety and stress. It is also supposed to protect from negative energy – I mean who wants negative energy in their life, you know? Moreover, it has been a beauty ritual since ancient times in China, dating all the way back to the 7th century. I love my jade roller for its actual benefits of what it does to my skin. It helps improve blood circulation and firm the look of skin through gentle massage – I use the smaller side for my nose and under-eye and the bigger one for the rest of my face. It also aids in supporting the lymphatic system, the body’s main major detoxification system. Jade roller does this crazy thing that my skin looks plump and bright as it helps products absorb better. Moreover, it stones are always cold, so face rolling is not only very relaxing and de-stressing, but also amazing in reducing my under-eye swelling and minimizing pores!
